On top, the 160,000 people who gathered for Trump’s inauguration. Below, 1.8 million for Obama. Trump says he has a movement. What he had in a November was a coalition — just enough people voting for him for a variety of reasons. The demographics worked out that people who have no interest in working together, looked at Trump and said he may be wrong on these 6 things, but he’s ok on my one top issue. Most republicans hated him. Now the republican leadership in the Senate and Congress fear Trump because he appears popular. He doesn’t have a movement, he has an office.
