Dying is a transitional state, just like midlife, puberty, unemployment, etc.  Each transition that we go through as individuals, or as members of a group like the church, presents us with unique challenges. I hope that this website and my book "Going Home" provides comfort and support for your reflections.

A passageway between two houses...  tighrope

The knowledge that death may not be very far off changes where we live. When we were healthy, we lived on a particular street with a zip code and phone number we had memorized. Now we are living in a passage between dwellings. What we believe or what we have heard about in church may help us in our good days to think of heaven as our future home. But that doesn't answer all of our questions:

What should we be doing with our remaining days?

How do we tell our loved ones?

What about our fears, regrets, doubts?

Is there planning we should be doing for our funeral and the final disposition of our possessions?

These questions and many more are handled in the book:Goinghomecov
